Robert Downey Jr. visits Leno!

by Adam Markovitz

Iron Man 2 is just a day away from kicking off the summer movie season, so star Robert Downey Jr. stopped by The Tonight Show for a chat about…horses? “I’m terrified of horses,” says Downey, who’s apparently not a fan despite the fact that Jamie Foxx gave him a pair for his last birthday.”They’re kind of like 800 lb. cats.” Other topics covered included Downey’s scruffy look (“There’s a team of consummate professionals keeping me from looking my age.”) and his mental well-being (“Therapy is great!”).

Then Office star Mindy Kaling took the couch and unleashed a torrent of gush over Downey. “He’s such a badass. He’s wearing ripped jeans!” She confessed that Downey’s pics Soapdish and Sherlock Holmes are two of her faves, prompting a left-out Leno to quip, “Well, I’ll let you kids talk.” Check out the clip below!

Actors become actors because they loved entertaining their family by putting on the lampshade and dancing around as a kid, ... That's not my personality. For me, the fun part of making movies is seeing it as a director sees it. I like the architecture of movies. I like knowing what's coming and working to set that up.”
