Japanese American Miniseries Shoot

I'll be on the set of  "Grassroots" when you read this, but thought I would share some pics and info about work I did in May for a TBS  five-episode drama series titled "Japanese Americans."

The drama, an original work by veteran screenwriter Sugako Hashida, focuses on a Japanese family who emigrated to the United States a century ago and lived through World War II. The drama is being labeled as a special project in honor of TBS's 60th anniversary and should air in the Autumn of 2010 in Japan (not sure if it will air in U.S. or not).

The wardrobe, hair and makeup were very plain and simple as I was suppose to be a lady from the 1920's who was strolling the streets of downtown Seattle.

9:30 AM ~ Hair, Makeup & Wardrobe Completed.

The film needed a few more male actors so I brought the hubby along for the day. He got to dress up as a street vendor and actually ended up working more hours than I. Not sure what the perplexed look on his face was, maybe just tired from the long day...thank goodness they fed us well!

It's a wrap!

Thanks for stopping by ~ I'd love it if you left me a comment! Have a great day, friends.

Actors become actors because they loved entertaining their family by putting on the lampshade and dancing around as a kid, ... That's not my personality. For me, the fun part of making movies is seeing it as a director sees it. I like the architecture of movies. I like knowing what's coming and working to set that up.”
